GUIDING SPORT AND RECREATION IN THE ACT

Welcome to the ACTIVE 2020 website. We are working together to map out the future of the sport and recreation industry in the ACT.

Sport and recreation is an important aspect of everyone's lives in the ACT. It helps to improve our overall health and well being and allows us to feel part of a community.

It is important that we all have our say towards the future of sport and recreation. The consultation process helped us to gather the community's thoughts on sport and recreation in the ACT.

ACTIVE 2020 is a long term strategic plan for sport and active recreation in the ACT and Region. It provides a blueprint upon which sport and recreation will be nurtured and promoted over the period 2011–2020. It promotes partnerships between industry and government and investment in long term sustainable outcomes. Importantly ACTIVE 2020 allows for long term planning by sport and recreation associations in the ACT and Region.
